Ingredients
- 4 Large granny smith apples- peeled and sliced
- 4 Large honey crisp apples- peeled and sliced
- You can use other apples, just use 8. McIntosh, Fuji, Red or Golden Delicious work well.
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 3/4 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 Cup water
- ~2 Tbs brown sugar (for a sweeter applesauce)
Directions
- Pour water, lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar (if used) into pot and stir.
- Put in apple slices.
- Stir until apple slices are coated in the mixture.
- Put on pressure cooker lid, ensuring that it is sealed.
- Turn on Foodi, set to “pressure cook” and set to 8 minutes.
- Once done let it naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick release the remainder.
- Remove lid. Follow below for different textures.
- Chunky – simply stir.
- Semi-smooth – mash with a plastic potato masher
- Smooth – transfer to a blender or use an immersion blender.
